American Trio – Violin, Cello and Piano

Celebrate the Rural Musicians Forum’s (RMF) 40th Anniversary season with an evening of “beautiful music in a beautiful place.” This program features the talented Madison-based trio—pianist Alyona Waldo, violinist Dawn Dongeun, and cellist James Waldo—performing remarkable piano trios by prominent American composers Astor Piazzolla, Jennifer Higdon, and Paul Schoenfield. Together, these pieces showcase diverse musical voices spanning different generations, styles, and traditions from across the Americas.

This performance takes place in the recently restored Hillside Theater at Taliesin, offering a uniquely immersive Wisconsin experience where historic architecture, the Driftless landscape, and live performance seamlessly come together.
