Healing Through ArtFest

Gather for the third festival of the summer at the general store, “Healing Through ArtFest,” an afternoon dedicated to coming together in joy, art, and conversation. The event features four hours of live performances centered around the theme of healing in community rather than in isolation, a concept inspired by Sophie Strand’s essay, “Make My Healing a Party Everyone is Invited To”.

Attendees looking to reconnect deeply within themselves and with others can enjoy live music and spoken word performances supported by a professional sound system. Festival highlights include an artful fire-making demonstration led by fire artist Roger Reynolds, a pop-up poetry experience with Marnie Dresser, a screen-printing pop-up by Trillium Print Studio, Tarot readings from Chicago-based Emerald Acorn, the Kindled Community Sauna and plunge pool, and shopping with 43/90 North Earth Vending.
