Shakespeare in the Park

Join the Summit Players Theatre at the Governor Dodge State Park amphitheater for a fun and educational Shakespeare workshop followed by a 75-80 minute, no-intermission performance of Hamlet! As the only company in the country focused on touring productions through state parks, the Summit Players use theatre as a learning medium to introduce children to a passion for language while providing adults with an enjoyable theatrical experience. The classic tragedy follows Hamlet, the Prince of Denmark, as he grapples with the truth of his father’s recent death, his mother’s betrayal, and his uncle’s role in it all.
This event will be held rain or shine, with the Twin Valley Beach Shelter serving as the rain location. The event itself is free, but a vehicle admission pass is required to enter the park.
