MADISON— Each year, I eagerly await the Agricultural Economic Outlook Forum that is hosted by the Renk Agribusiness Institute at the University of Wisconsin Madison. This forum is always a terrific way to see the data side of agriculture in Wisconsin. It also provides a view of the potential for the future of this important economy. This year, the event was entirely virtual and I appreciate the Institute’s work to provide a high-quality program.

Madison, WI – Senator Howard Marklein (R-Spring Green) made the following statement following the Senate’s passage of Senate Joint Resolution (SJR) 3, which ends the COVID-19 public health emergency, including all emergency orders and actions taken pursuant to the declaration of the public health emergency.
I am glad to hear that Senator Marklein has finally come to the realization that COVID-19 is a significant issue in Wisconsin. In early October, Marklein told constituents in an electronic newsletter that hospitals were not overrun and there was no correlation between a rising number of infections and hospitalizations or deaths; even as the fall surge was, in fact, filling our hospitals to capacity and positive cases soared.
