Grow and Gather: Native Companion Planting
July 18 @ 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Companion planting is at the center of any good organic gardening plan. Join Kitchen Gardener Abbie Lehman at Taliesin to learn how to harness the power of companion planting with native plants to create a happier and healthier garden! Participants will learn companion planting methods, discover native plants in the area, understand the benefits they provide, and learn how to incorporate them. Plus, participants will make and take home a botanical print of their favorite native plant from the Kitchen Garden.
Check-in & Logistics: Guests should go directly to the Hillside School at 6604 HWY 23 Trunk. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the class starts to ensure you are in the correct location. (Staff at the main Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center can provide directions to the Hillside School if needed).
Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, bug repellent, and optionally a camp chair. For sun protection and tick safety, closed-toe shoes, long-sleeved shirts, pants, and socks are highly recommended.
