Laura tells about herself and her work, “I discovered my passion for pottery as a sophomore while attending Wisconsin Lutheran High School in the city where I was born and raised: Milwaukee. That passion continued through college, where I pursued ceramics as an independent minor and earned degrees in Early Childhood Education and Spanish. After graduation, I began working in Milwaukee Public Schools while earning a third teaching license, this one in Bilingual Education. Teaching and studying left little time for the wheel, but I never lost my love for it.

She dries and presses these natural elements and creates original designs with them mounted on handmade papers. Every design is unique. Some include calligraphy.

    The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Sauk County hosts a monthly caregiver support meeting for those caring for someone living with dementia. Led by ADRC Dementia Care Specialist Kurt Goeckermann, the gathering offers a welcoming space to talk to other caregivers, share experiences, and find support so you do not have to walk the caregiver path alone. Trevor will discuss and perform wonderful keyboard works from the Baroque era, including pieces by Bach, Scarlatti, Handel, and other lesser-known composers that you need to hear. The performance will be played on a brilliant Baroque Chamber Organ crafted by the Klop Company of the Netherlands.
