Despite inclement weather cancelling the official Pride Paddle, organizers of the event stuck it out and went out on the Wisconsin River with Pride gear and decorated boats to paddle from the Highway 14 boat landing to Pecks Landing June 26.
MUSCODA—A somber tone was set as the Lower Wisconsin State Riverway Board (LWSRB) acknowledged the recent death of Crawford County representative James Czajkowski. Czajowski, a former attorney and Crawford County Circuit Court Judge, died on April 2nd. A moment of silence was observed. Mark Cupp, Executive Director, said the process of finding a replacement for Czajkowski was underway.
Friends of the Lower Wisconsin River (FLOW) along with Department of Natural Resources Warden Dave Youngquist met to clean up debris from a Bureau of Land Management (BLM) island upriver from the Arena boat landing, on Saturday.
