Our games on Tuesday and Friday were postponed due to field conditions. The highlight on Thursday was the goal scored by Kylie. Svea Youngquist was fouled just outside of the 18 yard box to earn a free kick. Kylie’s shot went over the wall and beat the keeper near post.
Monday, May 17th, RV Golf competed at the Battle at the Rock at Wild Rock Golf Course in the Wisconsin Dells. Wild Rock, home of the Division 1 High School state golf tournament, proved to be a challenging course for the young Blackhawk Team. Eli Johnson led the Hawks with a team best 82.
Tuesday, May 11th, Platteville Country Club hosted the 4th SWC conference match. The Blackhawks placed 4th again with a team score of 210.
Last week we went 4-1 losing a close 0-1 ball game against Prairie du Chien on Tuesday night. We beat Sauk on Thursday 12-1, Lancaster on Friday 18-2; we hit the ball hard and were leading 14-0 after two innings, Mineral Point on Saturday 5-1 and Cuba City on Saturday 10-3.
The River Valley School Board met May 13, welcoming a new member, took up changes to the school fair, the high school year book and elected officers.
The River Valley Varsity Softball team took on Richland Center May 4, taking down the RC team 15-1. The varsity girls also beat Deforest during a May 5 home game 6-1. On May 6, the team overtook Platteville 22-2. Pictured, varsity player No. 6 Katie Hahn hits at the away game May 6.
Tuesday, May 4th, Conference Golf returned to host school River Valley as they competed at the House on the Rock Resort Golf Course.

The RV Golf team began it’s season on April 27 at the Prairie du Chien Golf Course, RV scored 182. Individual scores include, Eli Johnson’s one over par 37, followed by Ashton Price – 46, Connor Fields – 48, Luke Snow – 51, and Jackson Thier – 52. Eli Johnson and Lancaster’s Noah Kirsch tied as medalist for the match.

The River Valley Trap Team shot it’s third competition of it’s five competition season this weekend, and is preparing to score a championship win next month.

Plain EMS member Tracy Brent serves a to-go spaghetti dinner April 6 outside the American Legion. The dinner raised money for scholarships for River Valley seniors who plan to go into a medical field.
