Lone Rock 4th of July Celebration Parade
Despite a passing shower during the morning, the annual Lone Rock 4th of July Parade once again drew a crowd along Highway 130/Oak Street as residents celebrated Independence Day and the nation’s 250th anniversary. A few raindrops were enough to send some spectators reaching for umbrellas, but they certainly didn’t let it rain on their parade, as families stayed put to cheer on floats, emergency vehicles, bands, community organizations and local businesses making their way through the village.
The parade was just one part of a full day of festivities hosted by the Lone Rock 4th of July Committee. Visitors continued to Fireman’s Park for food, live music, family activities and more as the annual celebration carried on into the evening.

Lone Rock 4th of July Celebration Fireworks

Rain showers returned to the Lone Rock area during the evening, but the weather cooperated when it mattered most. As the skies cleared around dusk, hundreds gathered at Fireman’s Park for the annual fireworks display, capping off another Independence Day celebration.
The colorful display provided a fitting finale to a day filled with community traditions, from the morning parade to food, music and family activities throughout the afternoon. For a few minutes, the only thing falling from the sky was bursts of red, white and blue.
